Qi Yuwu and Jeanette Aw hope to work with each other again Last year's blockbuster Little Nyonya made waves in the country and rippled the hearts of many Singaporeans with the tragic love story between Jeanette Aw and Qi Yuwu's characters. As both Yuwu and Jeanette share sizzling onscreen compatibility and chemistry, it's no wonder hordes of fans are hoping for them to reunite as onscreen lovers again. They had acted opposite each other in 3 different shows between 2003 to 2008.
With Jeanette currently caught up with filming for this year's blockbuster drama series, Together, it will be some time before viewers get to catch the pair appearing in another drama series together. We caught up with the duo during the annual MediaCorp trade show for a quick interview.
"It is very comfortable to be working with Ah Wu (Qi Yuwu), I really like collaborating with him. Hopefully there will be a chance for us to work together in future!" Jeanette expressed.
Yuwu chimed in support and said, "There will be chances!"
When they were asked what kind of love story they would like to portray next, Yuwu laughingly said, "I hope it won't be so bitter, and painful! The best would be to film a modern drama series and I would not need to do my hair for a few hours!"
"I agree! It's never a happy ending! I hope that there will be some good news for the next series!" Jeanette enthused.
As Yuwu continued with his requests of making it "happier without the crying scenes", Jeanette exclaimed, "Would we have to shoot a comedy then? You have high expectations!"
Jeanette refused to pick between Yuwu and Dai Yangtian when she was asked on their level of chemistry with each other. "Do not make comparisons! I have known Ah Wu for a longer period of time and thus we're more familiar with each other."
